Your Symptoms

Find the Cause Behind Your Symptoms

Most people do not arrive with a diagnosis; they arrive with a symptom: a back that seized up, a leg that tingles, a neck that will not turn, a headache that keeps coming back. This page routes symptoms to the conditions behind them, and each condition page explains what it is, when it needs evaluation, which warning signs go straight to emergency care, and how Hornback Chiropractic & Wellness treats it across its three offices in Sarasota and Manatee County.

Conditions

Find your condition

Herniated Disc

Back or neck pain with pain, numbness, or tingling radiating into a leg or arm, often worse with sitting or bending. Many herniations improve without surgery.

Back Pain

Strain, joint dysfunction, disc problems, and postural load all produce “back pain,” and they are treated differently. The exam tells them apart.

Neck Pain

From desk posture to cervical disc problems to the crash you walked away from. Stiffness, restricted turning, and pain into the shoulder or arm all start here.

Sciatica

Pain radiating through the buttock and down the leg, commonly driven by a disc pressing on the sciatic nerve’s roots, and often worse with sitting or driving.

Whiplash

The neck injury collisions leave behind. Symptoms commonly build over the days after a crash, which is why feeling fine at the scene proves little.

Headaches & Migraines

Some headaches start in the neck. A candid look at which headache types chiropractic care helps, and which need a different approach.

Sports Injuries

Strains, rotational low back pain from golf and tennis, and overuse patterns. Care focused on restoring movement so you can get back to your sport.

Pediatric Chiropractic

All of the practice’s doctors treat children as well as adults, with care matched to age and need.

Prenatal Care

Chiropractic care during pregnancy, including the Webster Technique through Dr. Miranda Torres, who is Webster Certified.

Auto Injuries

Post-collision evaluation and care, booked as its own appointment type, with thorough documentation of your findings and treatment. The practice works with attorneys to provide the documentation needed to support your claim.

Need Help?

Not sure which one you have?

That is normal, and it is the point of the evaluation. Symptoms overlap: a herniated disc can present as back pain, sciatica, or both; neck problems can present as headaches. Rather than self-diagnosing from a list, call the nearest office, describe what is going on, and let the exam identify the actual source. If chiropractic care is not the right tool for what you have, the doctors will say so and point you in the right direction.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Chiropractors evaluate and treat musculoskeletal conditions: back pain, neck pain, disc problems including herniations, sciatica, whiplash and other auto injuries, headaches with a neck-driven component, and sports injuries. At Hornback Chiropractic & Wellness, every patient starts with an exam that identifies the actual source of the problem before any treatment is recommended.
No. The evaluation is the starting point: a history, an exam, and imaging if your findings call for it. If you already have imaging or a diagnosis from another provider, bring it, and if your condition needs something chiropractic care does not provide, you will hear that plainly.
Call the nearest office and describe what is going on. The team will tell you whether an evaluation makes sense or point you toward the right kind of provider if it does not.
