Insurance Coverage & Payment Options
Hornback Chiropractic & Wellness is in-network with Aetna, Meritain, Medicare, MultiPlan/PHCS, and the VA Community Care Network (VACCN). As of August 1, 2026, the practice is out-of-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield. Cigna and UnitedHealthcare are already out-of-network. HSA and FSA funds, CareCredit, payment plans, cash, and major cards are accepted at all three locations.
If your plan is not named on this page, or your Medicare plan is a Medicare Advantage plan administered by another carrier, call your office and the team will verify what your plan covers before your visit. Your initial consultation is free. The front desk can give you a cost range by phone, and your exact costs are quoted at your visit once the doctor makes recommendations, before any treatment begins.
Plan Updates
What is changing on August 1, 2026?
As of August 1, 2026, Hornback Chiropractic & Wellness is out-of-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield; Cigna and UnitedHealthcare are already out-of-network.
This does not mean your care has to stop or that you need to find a new chiropractor. It means the practice no longer bills BCBS directly. You can continue seeing your doctor as an out-of-network patient: you pay at the time of service, and the office can submit the claim to your plan on your behalf or provide a superbill for you to submit, for possible out-of-network reimbursement depending on your plan’s benefits. Every payment option on this page is available to you, and the team will walk you through exactly what your visits will cost before you commit to anything.
Have BCBS, Cigna, or UnitedHealthcare and questions about your situation?
On your next visit, or in a five-minute call, the front desk can tell you what your visit will cost and what your options are.
What Remains
What is not changing?
- Aetna and Meritain. The practice remains in-network with both.
- MultiPlan/PHCS. In-network.
- VA Community Care Network (VACCN). In-network. Veterans can call any office and the team will walk through eligibility and referrals.
- Medicare. The practice is in-network with Medicare. Plan details vary, especially Medicare Advantage plans administered by other carriers, so call your office and the team will verify your specific plan.
- Your doctors and your care. Same doctors, same locations, same appointment scheduling.
- Every payment option below. HSA and FSA funds, CareCredit, payment plans, cash, and major cards, all still accepted at all three offices.

Cost Differences
What does out-of-network actually mean for my costs?
Out-of-network means the practice does not bill your insurance plan directly. In practice, three things happen: you pay at the time of service, the office provides documentation of your visit on request, and depending on your plan’s out-of-network benefits, you may be able to submit that documentation to your plan for partial reimbursement. Whether and how much a plan reimburses varies by plan, which is why the team verifies your situation by phone rather than guessing.
What out-of-network does not mean: it does not mean care is unavailable to you, and it does not mean costs are a surprise. You will know what a visit costs before it happens.
