Dr. Julie was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. As a young adult she was competitive in sports playing on the men's water polo team and was captain of her high school swim team. This is where her love for health and wellness began. Her schooling journey began by completing her Associates in Biotechnology at the St. Louis Community College which led to her working on the genetics of a rare disease at Washington University- St. Louis. From there she started working with plant genetics at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center.
After spending a couple of years performing research, she decided she was missing the personal aspect of helping people. This is when she applied to Logan University, where she quickly found her love for chiropractic. She completed both her Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences and her Doctorate of Chiropractic graduating Cum Laude.
While in school she completed a clinical round at the Veteran’s Association Hospital in St. Louis, where she saw the huge demand for chiropractic among those who have represented our country. In addition, she attended a week-long mission trip to Mexico where she was able to help many of the people who work so hard, and some who weren’t able to afford any healthcare.
She spent her final two semesters as an intern at HCW, working alongside Dr. Cindy and Dr. Shena, where she was able to fine-tune her adjusting technique and learn to educate patients on the importance of chiropractic. While working with us she has truly enjoyed helping our patients live a better quality of life and to lead them to wellness. Dr. Julie is proficient in diversified, activator, logan basic, Thompson drop, and cox flexion-distraction techniques and is currently accepting patients at the Market Street location.
In her free time Dr. Julie enjoys going to the beach, kayaking through the mangroves and springs, and cooking the local food in Florida. She can’t wait to meet you and your family!
